Spanish Parlaiment considers euthanasia debate

El Pais (Oriol Guell, Anabel Diez and Susane Urra) reports: A PSOE bill that was introduced in 2018 spring, has been brought back for debate in the Spanish Congress  by the Popular Party (PP). This does not imply that there is agreement, new PP President Pablo Casado is opposing the PSOE bill and comes with an alternative proposal.

First prosecution in the Netherlands

For the first time in 15 years, a case of euthanasia in the Netherlands will be brought to the criminal court. This decision has been announced by the Dutch Public Prosecution Service on the 9th of November.

Further steps in charges against Sean Davison

As was expected - the next court session was planned for today, 16 November - the prosecutor added another charge of "premeditated murder" in connection with the death of Justin Varian - who had motor neuron disease - using helium gas, on July 25, 2015. Sean next appears on the 29th of January 2019 where an additional charge will be added.
