In Maryland an End-of-Life Option Act passed the House of Delegates

On March 7, The Maryland House of Delegates passed a death with dignity bill.
Lawmakers voted 74–66 in favor of the End-of-Life Option Act.
 
The bill has now moved to the Maryland Senate where it, as Senate Bill 311, awaites a new voting.

Supreme Court of California denied the petition against the End of Life Option Act

On February 27, the Supreme Court denied the petition of the opponents of California's End of Life Option Act. This denial means the law continues to be in effect.

In Montana a bill to make MAiD illegal has passed the House of Representatives

On Thursday, February 14, 2019, the Montana House of Representatives voted yes to a bill 'providing that consent to physician aid in dying is not a defense'. Thereby this bill has passed the House and will, as next step, be discussed in the Senate.  The bill, HB 284, was introduced by Montana State Representative Carl Glimm

California AG asks the Supreme Court to deny the petition against the End of Life Option Act

End of January, the California Advocate General filed an answer to the plaintiffs Supreme Court petition, asking the court to deny the petition on standing.

In Nevada a bill to allow MAiD is introduced in the Senate
Feb 19, 2019

On Thursday, February 14, 2019, Senate Bill 165 was introduced in the Senate of Nevada and referred to the Health and Human Services committee for hearings. The bill is sponsored by Nevada senator David Parks (Democrats Las Vegas), and 16 other legislators. David Parks already filed a bill about assisted dying, SB 261, in 2017. Unfotunately, that bill did not pass.
