Sean Davison again in court the 19th of June

Friday the 24th of May 2019, Sean Davison appeared in the Cape Town magistrates court in connection to the pre-meditated murder of Richard Holland in 2015. This Cape Town magistrates court decided his case to be formally transferred to the High Court. A pre-trial hearing for this High Court will be held on June 19, 2019.

Belgian physician dismissed of legal proceedings

On Friday the 26th of April, Belgian physician Marc van Hoey was dismissed of further legal proceedings for his assistance in the suicide of Simona de Moor. The Court, and earlier also the Public Prosecutor, decided that the physician's acting was not 'euthanasia' and that therefore the proceedings would not continue.

Quick end for Death with Dignity Bill in Nevada

After a Death with dignity bill was put on the agenda in Nevada last February, this bill already died. The state Senate failed to take a vote on the measure ahead of a Tuesday legislative deadline that decides whether bills move on.
