Victoria has issued its first "voluntary assisted dying" permit under the right-to-die laws which became active in mid-June this year, after 18 months preparation since the passing of the laws in 2017. 

Oregon removes assisted suicide waiting period for certain patients

On Wednesday July 23, Governor Kate Brown (Oregon) announced the signing into law of legislation allowing certain terminally ill patients to have quicker access to life-ending medications under the Oregon Death With Dignity Act (which was the first assisted dying law in the United States).

Maine Death with Dignity Act probably tested by referendum

Maine will probably have a physician-initiated death referendum in November or June. This referendum could overturn the brandnew Death with Dignity Act that was signed into law last month. Opponents of the new law have until September 18, 2019, to collect and file 63,067 valid signatures.

The workshop tour consists of 8 workshops, seven in Australia and the last one in London (27th of October - just before brExit).
