Purpose of the Society is:
To provide assistance to members of the Society to end their lives by self-chosen death, including the following forms of assistance:
(a) Providing members with information about the most effective and dignified means to end their lives;
(b) Providing members with counseling services and referrals to professional services to ensure that life-ending choices and decisions are as informed as possible, and ensuring that life-ending decisions are voluntary;
(c) Ensuring that life-ending decisions are free from inducement, coercion, threats and undue influence;
(d) Procuring for and providing members with technology and other physical means to end their lives in as dignified, humane and painless manner as possible;
and
(e) Providing physical assistance to members to end their lives when necessary and appropriate.
