13th European Conference now scheduled in Brussels 11 & 12 October 2017

The board of RtD-Europe kindly invites its members to attend the (postponed) European Biennial meeting on October 11 and 12, 2017. The meeting will be hosted by the "Centre of Expertise on the Worthy End of Life"  in Wemmel near Brussels in Belgium on Wednesday. The second day the meeting will be in the European Parliament (NB extra criteria to attend on the registration form). Find attached the letter of invitation + programme (PDF),  the registration form (Word) and the RtD-E CHARTER 2017 (PDF) to be discussed in the EP.

WFRtDS Conference 2018

will be held in Cape Town South Africa from 6 to 9 September 2018.  Updates - when available - will be published on this site.

In a letter to the Editor of the New England Journal of Medicine (2017;377:492-494) the three main researchers of the Dutch euthanasia practice published a comprehensive summary of 25 years of Dutch End-of-Life decisions.

In the 6 surveys since 1990 a number of developments in the practice could be explained.

Suzy Austen, a right-to-die campaigner from New Zealand, is facing the possibility of 14 years of imprisonment. Suzy denied all three charges against her.
